Sorry!!

Ok ok ok ... I know I have been a really slack blogger and I have made heaps of cards to post but just never seem to get around to uploading them. So today I will show you two cards that I made a while ago.

The first one is a male card. I don't do a lot a male cards so I find them a little hard and tend to take a lot of time when I do make one.

I love the occasionally set as they are the perfect size for so many of our tag punches. I will hopefully have some more male cards with some of the new stamps from the Spring mini soon

Stamps used: Totally Tool, Occasionally
Card: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa

The second card is a card that I guess could be used for either male or female. I forget to use SU! double sided paper on cards so with this one I thought I would have a play with some of the new papers.

I have also had a play with the scallop square punch. Anyone who knows me, knows I looovvvveeee my punches!!! They are so easy to use and make layering so quick and fun.

Stamps used: Pocket Silhouettes, Say It with Scallops
Card: Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango
DSP: Haiku
Old Olive Ribbon

Australiasian Scrapbook & Papercraft Expo

For the last 3 days I have been at the Craft Expo and WOW what an experience!!! It was so busy and exciting!! I met some absolutely fantastic people and had so much fun.

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Kim, our fearless team leader. Without all her effort and hard work it probably would not have been the success it was. She rocks!!

So I will post a photo of our group now and when I get a chance I will post some more photos of our stall.

In the photo is Me, Chrissie, Jenny and Kim. Brenda was on the stall on Sunday and Monday so isn't in the photo. I just love how we all have the same uniform. I looked really good.

Mother's Day

We had a Mother's Day stall at school today and I donated some little notebooks and pens for sale.

I used some Blue Paper that had quite a rough texture and was covered in glitter. I ran it through the Cuttlebug. The top layer is Whisper White. I stamped it with one of the plant stamps from the Pocket Silhouettes set using Tempting Turquoise ink. I punched the border with our new Eyelet Border Punch. I tied some gold cord around the base of the plant. The bag tag was stamped using the Occasionally set and Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise ink

They must have been a hit because when my son went up to the stall they were all gone.

I hope all the Mum's out there have a great Mother's Day!!

Perfect Plum

I decided to play around with some stamp sets that I haven't used for a while and I came across "Heartfelt Thanks". This stamp set came in my starter kit 2 years ago so I haven't used it for a long time.

So with this card I used Perfect Plum as the base, I stamped the outline flower with Perfect Plum ink. I layered Pale Plum card on that then stamped the base flower on Whisper White. I used Markers to colour the stamp so that I could use the two colours on the flower and stem. Using my Stamp-a-majic I lined up the outline flower stamp and using markers again I stamped the outline on Vellum. The ribbon is Purple organza. It was nice to grab an old stamp set out and have a play. Using the Vellum over the white card softened the colour of the flower petals and I think gives it a more subdued effect.

Thank You cards

I made some Thank You cards for my customers recently using the new stamp set "Sweet Stems". I punched out the "thanks so much" with the word window punch. I stamped the background of the Very Vanilla card with the Boho Backgrounds stamp and Pink Pirouette ink. Layered with Pink Pirouette card. It is a simple card but so far the reaction has been positive.

The second card is using the "One of a Kind" stamp set. I am so glad this set made it into the new catalogue. I love the patterns and the fact that there is a matching punch. I love my punches!!! The colours used are Taken with Teal and Apricot Appeal. The flower is coloured with our Markers in the same colours as the card stock.

Tunnel Card

I downloaded a whole heap of techniques from the Splitcoast Stampers website and thought I might start trying them out.

This card is called a Tunnel Card and I have used the same colours as they used in the example but changed the stamp set to the Level 1 Hostess set - Organic Grace. I really love the flower in this set.

I used Riding Hood Red on the front of the card and used the Scallop circle and 1 3/8" circle punches on the card front. This was a really fun card to make and I love the end result. It does look better IRL but hopefully you can get the idea

Fresh Cuts card

I did a workshop with some lovely ladies the other day and we made this card with the new Fresh Cuts stamp set. I also used the new In Colours - Riding Hood Red and Pacific Point. I used the 1 3/8" square punch on both colours and then the 1 1/4" square punch on the Pacific Point. I stamped the "For You" using Pacific Point and then punched it with a 1" square punch.

I am looking forward to making some cards with this stamp set and the Fresh Cut cards. I have seen the examples in the new catalogue and think they look great

I also made some small love notes to demo a couple of techniques.

The first one is showing watercolouring on our watercolour paper using Riding Hood Red ink and I stamped the background leaves with Kiwi Kiss. And of course, I then finished it with Kindy Glitz. The stamp set is Embrace Life.

The second one is showing the Poppin' Pastels technique. I stamped with Versamark then sponged Real Red and Regal Rose over the petals. I used Pumpkin Pie in the centre of the flower. Then I Kindy Glitzed the centre of the flower. I stamped the small flower on the Baja Breeze card using Baja Breeze ink and then stamped on the Pink Pirouhette card using Pink Pirouhette ink. The stamp set is Eastern Blooms.

Hopefully I will have some more cards soon.

Happy Birthday Card

So I was at our team meeting today and was hassled about the fact that I am a really slack blogger so in an attempt to appease my fellow team mates I have decided to post a card that I gave to my son's teacher for her Birthday which is today. So Happy Birthday Gaby!!!

The card was made using the Big Bold Birthday set. I stamped the bottom half of the cupcake with Taken With Teal and the top half with Rose Red. I layered the card using Very Vanilla, Rose Red DSP and Taken with Teal. Using Staz On ink I stamped the Happy Birthday on the Very Vanilla ribbon.

Its a simple card but sometimes they can be the nicest. I have recently fallen in love with Taken with Teal but after using the new In Colour Pacific Point today I think that will be my all time favourite colour!!!! It is so deep but bright at the same time - LOVE IT!!!!

All right so now that I have the first card up I will attempt to put some more things up. Hopefully I can be a better blogger!!!

Where Have I Been?????

Hi there,
I know I have been a very slack blogger but it has been extremely busy in our household with getting back to school and then helping out at school and just life I guess but I am now back on track. So my sincere apologies for the slackness.

this is the gift card holder I gave my husband for Christmas.

I used Close To Cocoa CS and Very Vanilla. At first he thought it was an actual wallet which was nice

I will post some more soon!!
