Owl Punch card
I recently did a workshop using the owl punch. I have always been a little taken with our punches and so was very excited to use the new owl punch.
This card uses four different punches (as I said I am just a little taken with using the punches! LOL!), the 1" circle punch, the modern label, the decorative label (in the Winter Mini) and the Owl Punch.
I used the circle punch in two ways - firstly the punched out circle was used as a mask for the moon as I coloured the night sky and then the scrap sheet that the circle was punched from was used as a mask to cover the sky so that I could colour the moon with frost white shimmer paint.
The card stock used is - Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
Ink colours - Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
Stamp Sets - Cottage Garden, Thanks for Caring
Accessories - Shimmer Paint (Frost White)

Shaving Cream Technique
Hi Everyone, i have been meaning to post this card for ages.
I did this card for a workshop a while ago and everyone loved making it (although it was an extremely messy experience!!). We used the Shaving Cream technique which involves shaving cream and re-inkers. A little tricky but well worth the effort I believe.
The stamp sets used are Pocket Silhouettes and Curvy Verses.
Let me know what you think...

I'm Back!!!
Ok so after much teasing from friends I have decided to come back to blogging!! I know, I know, you have all missed me soooo very much!! LOL!!
I have been very busy making things and I will attempt to do at least a post a week. I can only hope that I can keep going!!
So the first card I am going to post is a swap that I made for the Brisbane Regional Seminar that I attended recently. It was great to get together with other demos and exchange ideas.
The technique used is called Crayon Resist and it works best when done on Gloss Card stock. I stamped the image with Staz On ink and then using a white crayon marked on the card where I wanted the white to stay and then using sponge daubers went over the image with Melon Mambo ink and then filled in the blank areas with So Saffron ink.
If you have any questions about Crayon Resist or would like to book a workshop to see this technique demonstrated please email me.
Stamps - Cottage Garden, Sincere Salutations
Card - Glossy White, Melon Mambo, So Saffron
Ink - Staz On, Melon Mambo, So Saffron

Sorry!!
Ok ok ok ... I know I have been a really slack blogger and I have made heaps of cards to post but just never seem to get around to uploading them. So today I will show you two cards that I made a while ago.
The first one is a male card. I don't do a lot a male cards so I find them a little hard and tend to take a lot of time when I do make one.
I love the occasionally set as they are the perfect size for so many of our tag punches. I will hopefully have some more male cards with some of the new stamps from the Spring mini soon
Stamps used: Totally Tool, Occasionally
Card: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa
The second card is a card that I guess could be used for either male or female. I forget to use SU! double sided paper on cards so with this one I thought I would have a play with some of the new papers.
I have also had a play with the scallop square punch. Anyone who knows me, knows I looovvvveeee my punches!!! They are so easy to use and make layering so quick and fun.
Stamps used: Pocket Silhouettes, Say It with Scallops
Card: Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango
DSP: Haiku

Australiasian Scrapbook & Papercraft Expo
For the last 3 days I have been at the Craft Expo and WOW what an experience!!! It was so busy and exciting!! I met some absolutely fantastic people and had so much fun.
I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Kim, our fearless team leader. Without all her effort and hard work it probably would not have been the success it was. She rocks!!
So I will post a photo of our group now and when I get a chance I will post some more photos of our stall.
In the photo is Me, Chrissie, Jenny and Kim. Brenda was on the stall on Sunday and Monday so isn't in the photo. I just love how we all have the same uniform. I looked really good.

Mother's Day
We had a Mother's Day stall at school today and I donated some little notebooks and pens for sale.
I used some Blue Paper that had quite a rough texture and was covered in glitter. I ran it through the Cuttlebug. The top layer is Whisper White. I stamped it with one of the plant stamps from the Pocket Silhouettes set using Tempting Turquoise ink. I punched the border with our new Eyelet Border Punch. I tied some gold cord around the base of the plant. The bag tag was stamped using the Occasionally set and Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise ink
They must have been a hit because when my son went up to the stall they were all gone.
I hope all the Mum's out there have a great Mother's Day!!

Perfect Plum
I decided to play around with some stamp sets that I haven't used for a while and I came across "Heartfelt Thanks". This stamp set came in my starter kit 2 years ago so I haven't used it for a long time.
So with this card I used Perfect Plum as the base, I stamped the outline flower with Perfect Plum ink. I layered Pale Plum card on that then stamped the base flower on Whisper White. I used Markers to colour the stamp so that I could use the two colours on the flower and stem. Using my Stamp-a-majic I lined up the outline flower stamp and using markers again I stamped the outline on Vellum. The ribbon is Purple organza. It was nice to grab an old stamp set out and have a play. Using the Vellum over the white card softened the colour of the flower petals and I think gives it a more subdued effect.
